We are back to work tomorrow. We cannot wait to share more with our students.

Here is the video from the start of the Iditarod in Willow, Alaska yesterday. They start on a frozen lake! You will see how the spectators entertain themselves, and how much the dogs are ready to pull. There were a lot of snow machines as well.

The lead has already changed a bunch in the first 24 hours of the race. It is very exciting to follow, and the students will be tracking their mushers through the next 2 weeks.  We had a great time!

  1. Tough Teachers are really 'tough'. You had to be the busiest team at the Iditarod. Great photos, videos and blogging. Those lucky kids in the fourth grade. We are a sponsor and sent your blog link to all our employees - you had much better photos etc. than we did. Also, GCI wanted to see your posts. They are a Primary Sponsor and responsible for all the network and communications equipment for the Iditarod - all along the course and on up to Nome. They also produced those cool calendars. Enjoy the rest of the race with your students and congratulations on creating a great experience for them and others.
